One to One Support

Leading a small charitable organisation can be tough - we know. So much to learn, so much to do, so little time. We are here to help, with training-led consultancy and mentoring.

With ‘regular’ consultancy, the work gets done - which is great, until the work needs to be addressed again, and you are faced with another bill and the task of finding another consultant.

We are more interested in walking you through the work, so when time comes to renew or start over, you can do it yourself. It will take some capacity on your end, but the lasting value will be significant, plus it helps to keep your costs down.

Each project is different from the next, so please do get in touch to chat about what you need. There are some examples of recent projects below.

We naturally specialise in the areas we train - namely fundraising, impact measurement and strategy development. We also have a network of trusted contacts, so if we are not right for your project, we can help you find someone else.

P.S. You can also check out or Grant Review Service if you would like some a quick confidence boost for your applications.

How much, and how can you fund this?

Upskilling your organisation is always a wise investment that pays for itself. But these projects do cost, and we understand that cash can be hard to come by at times, and that upskilling may not always be prioritised. This is why we will always be transparent about costs, and can help you find funding - here are some examples.

Project Example - Impact Framework

We worked with a small ecology charity to clarify and measure the difference they made, to both attract funding and enable them to make smarter business decisions. With the help of three individuals from the charity, we defined their overall impact, created a two stage impact framework and a theory of change infographic.

This was achieved for just over £2,000.

Project Example - Funding Diversification

We worked with a small charity working in the refugee space to address a 30% drop in income and boost their future financial resilience. Engaging staff, Trustees and other volunteers, we collectively created a prioritised three-year strategy, and upskilled the team on three vital streams of funding.

This was achieved for just under £2,500.

Project Example - Strategy Development

We worked with a newly formed charity working with vulnerable females to create their first fundraising strategy. With no fundraising experience in the team, we used transferable skills to create a simple 18-month funding plan.

This was achieved for £800.

Project Example - Organisational Strategy Development

We worked with a local music education charity to build their first ever organisational strategy. With access to only the CEO, we created a detailed, 3-year strategy which gave direction, confidence and clarity on the impact of projects and the way forward.

This was achieved for £3,200.

Project Example - Ad-hoc Advice

We have worked with numerous charities to provide simple advice on different fundraising streams, charity set up issues, reviewing funding applications and governance considerations.

Should formal support be required, our day rate operates on a sliding scale depending on your organisation size, from £275 to £550.

Please could you play the role of a grant researcher for our UK based charity. We need you to search the web and accessible funder databases to come up with a list of 20 grant funders who will fund organisational and staff development. Please could you return the list as a CSV file, and prioritise the results by funders who support charities with an income of [ your income], who work in [ your field of work ], in [ your geographical area ], and with [ the type of people / groups you work with].
